Water Treatment

If you are living in the Waterloo Region, water treatment is virtually a must. We supply and install the R-Can CS Series softener and pair it with reverse osmosis, carbon, and combination filtration where the test results call for it.

Free in-home water test

Before we sell anything, we test your water. We bring a sample kit to the house, measure hardness, iron, sulfur, and TDS, and recommend the smallest system that solves the actual problem. We do not upsell whole-house RO when a softener will do the job.

What the CS Series does

The CS Series control valve monitors water consumption and regenerates only when usage warrants it. That means lower salt use, lower water waste, and a much longer resin bed life than the timer-based softeners that dominated the market 20 years ago.

Beyond softening

We install reverse osmosis under-sink units, whole-house carbon for chlorine and taste, sulfur and iron removers for well water, and UV systems for biological contamination. All of these are sized to your test results, not a generic SKU off the shelf.

FAQ

Common questions

  • Do I need a softener if my house is on city water?

Most K-W municipal water is hard enough that a softener pays for itself in appliance lifespan, soap and detergent reduction, and reduced lime scale. We test before we recommend.

  • I have well water with iron staining. What do I need?

Usually a combination iron filter ahead of a softener, sometimes with a sulfur stage. We test, then specify.

  • How long does a softener last?

A well-maintained CS Series typically runs 12 to 15 years. The control valve outlasts a timer-based unit by years because it only regenerates when needed.
