Our story
Founded 1966. Still answering the phone.
Franz Kastl and Paul Zuch started the company in 1966 to serve the German contractors building post-war Kitchener and Waterloo. By the early seventies the shop had become one of the major plumbing and heating contractors in the region, and that is roughly where we have stayed: a focused, family-run mechanical company in southwestern Ontario.
Today Kastl & Zuch is a full-service plumbing and hydronic heating shop covering new construction, renovation, and direct service. Our licensed plumbing and gas technicians know the systems they install because they install the same systems most weeks of the year, not once a season.

What areas do you serve?

Do you handle emergency calls?
Yes. Our 519-884-0990 line is answered around the clock for no-heat, burst-pipe, and gas emergencies.
Are you licensed for both plumbing and gas?
Yes. Our technicians carry the TSSA gas licensing as well as full Ontario plumbing licensing. Every gas job we do is permitted and inspected.
Are you a Viessmann dealer?
We have specified, installed, and serviced Viessmann boilers for decades. Vitodens, 100-W, 200-W, and indirect tank pairings are part of our routine work.
Do you work with builders and renovation contractors?
Yes. A meaningful share of our volume runs through custom builders and renovators. Coordinated scheduling, our own paperwork, our own warranty.
